Mountaingate is an upscale gated community in Southwest Reno, off Mt. Rose Highway, with an HOA. It sits on the south end of Reno, close to Saddlehorn, Thomas Creek, Montreux and Galena Forest.

This is the neighborhood for you if you want to live on the south end of town and still get out to the mountains easily. Mt. Rose Highway leads directly to Montreux, Mt. Rose Ski Resort and Diamond Peak Ski Resort. You can get to Incline Village quickly from here, and to Sand Harbor, a state park beach on the shores of Lake Tahoe. It's absolutely beautiful.
